Czeck Edge bird cage awls feature large, palm friendly knobs with a lower finger perch that allows a tremendous amount of force to be applied comfortably for boring in wood. The square cross section of the blade, sharpened edges and shallow 10 degree pyramid point allow them to sever delicate wood fibers without splitting thin stock. Ours follow the traditional design in essence, being a bit larger at 3/16 wide and 3 1/2" long. They are made of W1 tool steel hardened to RC 59 - 60 in an aircraft certified facility and precision ground and polished.
These tools are custom turned, please allow at least two to three weeks for domestic delivery.
